Welcome to the official site of Robert Edis, a singer/songwriter/guitarist from Devon UK. Rob blends elements of rock, pop, folk and classical influences with a richness of melody and soul rarely heard in the mainstream music of today. Rob wears his heart on his sleeve to produce deeply personal songs which leave a lasting impression and explore the full range of human emotions. Dynamic, thoughtful and almost theatrical at times, Rob's voice goes from subtle to soaring much like his lead guitar playing.
"In the 19 months that I have been hosting Exeter Select, I have never had such an incredible reaction to music from a local band or musician. The live session with Robert Edis, and the tracks that I played from the Overcast Sky EP gained comments such as...'I've never heard such beautiful music for years, please play more', and, 'a truly fantastic undiscovered talent, somebody sign him up!' I'd have to say I agree completely!!" James Santer, Exeter FM.

The debut EP Overcast Sky was released to kick things off in the summer of 2009. With high profile showcase gigs such as the Exeter Phoenix Voodoo Lounge, progress has been gathering pace.
The folky sounding title track Overcast Sky has reached the top 10 in the SW regional reverbnation rock chart, and several tracks also featuring in the top 100 in the ourstage.com charts. Most notably 'Sophia' at no. 11 in the global folk chart as voted for by listeners in Nov 09.
Overcast Sky EP is currently receiving airplay on radio stations such as BBC Radio Devon, Exeter FM and Phonic FM.
With featured artist of the week slots on BBC Radio Devon in Dec 09 and the continued support from Exeter FM the momentum just keeps growing. The response to the Overcast Sky EP has been fantastic and has created much anticipation and expectation for the forthcoming debut album and gigs planned for 2010.
